Billy Bragg Obituary

Billy Bragg, age 58 of Jewell Ridge, Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008 at his home. Born January 9, 1950 in Richlands, Virginia he was the son of late Roy McKinley and Mattie Jackson Bragg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two infant brothers and one brother, Roy M. Bragg, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Paula Blevins Bragg; one daughter, Lisa Bruner and husband Justin of Roanoke; one son, David Bragg and wife Donna of Troutville; step daughter, Micki Johnson of Rosedale; three brothers, John Bragg and wife Alma of Newark, DE, Jessee Bragg and wife Diana of Princeton, WV and Bobby Bragg of Charlottesville; four sisters, Helen Adams and friend Clinton Dales of Oakwood, Bonnie Tjaden and husband Granville of Raven, Betty Deel and husband Russell of Deel and Evelyn Booth and husband Donald of Cedar Bluff; six grandchildren, Jamile, Travis, Dakota, Marshal, Clint and Briana; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 11, 2008 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Jerry Casey officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Robin Smith. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Sunday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Preferred Hospice, Inc., PO Box 784, Richlands, VA 24641.
