Billy Fatheree Obituary
Bill was born on March 22, 1932, in Odin, Illinois, the son of Orville and Docia (Spangler) Fatheree. He married Wanda M. (Keller) Fatheree on March 15, 1953, in Iuka, Illinois and together they shared 67 years united in marriage until her passing on October 26, 2020.
Survivors include his daughter, Marlene Morrison of Iuka; grandchildren, Dustin Morrison and wife Dani, and Dee Schwarm; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda; a son, Steve Fatheree; and numerous siblings.
Bill honorably served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he went on to work for many years as a draftsman for Caterpillar until his retirement.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Salem.
Funeral services for Billy E. "Bill" Fatheree will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with John Gaston officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Iuka Cemetery in Iuka with military rites by the Salem American Legion. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association and will be received at the funeral home. Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.

I have many great memories of Bill & Wanda when we lived in Illinois and their visits after we moved to Colorado. I can still picture Bill with a toothpick in his mouth and his smile. They were both great people!

So sorry for your loss! I have many fond memories of Bill & Wanda when we lived in Illinois and of their visits to Colorado after we moved here. I can still vision Bill with a toothpick in his mouth. They were both great people with good hearts.
