Billy Joe Garrison Jr

Billy J. Garrison Jr., born on April 12, 1958, in Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
Billy was the son of Billy and Mary Garrison. He grew up in Springfield and stayed close to his roots his whole life. He had a big love for the simple things-camping out under the stars, cruising around in his Chevelle, and settling in to watch old black and white movies.
Though Billy never had kids of his own, he sure enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews when they were little. He always had a way of making them laugh and feel special.
He also had a soft spot for animals, especially his sister's dog, named "Sister." He loved taking her for walks and giving her treats.
Billy could often be found shooting pool, telling stories, and proudly showing off his beard, which he wore like a badge of honor.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kind heart, sharp sense of humor, and easygoing spirit will never be forgotten.
Billy is survived by his siblings Theresa Garrison (Mark Davis), Jane Wilson, Mark Garrison (Paige), David Garrison (Dana), and Rhonda Wollard, sister-in-law Sue Coffer, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Billy is preceded in death by both his parents, brother Johnnie Coffer, and sisters Becky Billups, Patty Garrison, and Connie Maggard.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
