Mr. Billy Wayne Gause, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Loris Rehab and Nursing Center. Born on July 22, 1947, in Loris, SC, he was the son of the late Rev. Alton Joseph Gause and the late Bertha Viola Prince Gause. Mr. Gause served his country with courage, honor, and dignity in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his brother, Troy L. Gause (Gloria); sister, Faye Hancock; sisters-in-law, Helen Gause, and Carole Gause; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gause was predeceased by his siblings, W. J. Gause, Alberta Boruta, Hilton Lephone Gause, Tommy Gause, and Donald Gause.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Williamson officiating. Committal services will be private. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 PM, prior to services, at Hardwick Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be made to Tunnels To Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
