Bill was born on May 7, 1939, and passed away on November 20, 2025, in Monroe, LA. He was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Bill retired from the Monroe City Fire Department after 33 years of dedicated service to his community. Beginning his career in 1965, he rose through the ranks with commitment and courage, ultimately serving as Fire Chief until his retirement in 1998. His leadership, integrity, and devotion to protecting others left a lasting impact on those who had the honor of serving beside him.

Outside of his career, Bill found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to golf and fish, and there was nothing more important to him than time spent with his children and grandchildren. Family was at the center of his world, and he treasured every moment shared with them.

A lifelong LSU fan, Bill could always be counted on to cheer on the Tigers with pride and enthusiasm. His spirit, dedication, and love for family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
