Billy Ray Hayes

Billy R Hayes 83 of Brazil passed away on January 26, 2026. He was born October 6, 1942 in Bean Station, Tennessee to the late Charlie Hayes and Lucy (Franklin) Hayes. Billy began his work life at the age of 16 as a mechanic. In 1972 he began working in the Vacuum industry as a salesman and continued until the time of his passing. From a young age he enjoyed race cars and for most of the 1980's he was involved in building pulling trucks. Billy loved to attend NASCAR events and loved to hit the open road on motorcycles and was often known to work on them. Most of all Billy loved his family and spending time with them.

Billy is survived by his wife Janice, his children; Jimmy Hayes, Patrick Hayes, Linda Hayes, Tammy Brees, Rob Murphy, and Michael Hayes, twenty-two grandchildren and numerous great grand-children.

In addition to his parents Billy was preceded in passing by his children ; Angie Hayes, Sam Hayes, and Gary Hayes.
