Lynette Marie "Meek" Newman

Lynnette Marie Newman (Meek), 63, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on February 14, 2026, after her courageous battle with cancer. Born in Columbus, Ohio to Donald and Jeannine Meek, Lynn brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning. She carried her vibrant spirit with her throughout her life, touching everyone fortunate enough to know her. Lynn was a dedicated Lowe's associate, where she was known not only for her strong work ethic but for the warmth and energy she shared with coworkers and customers alike. Her bubbly and boisterous personality made her unforgettable-she never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. She found her greatest joy near the water. Whether spending time at Lake Monroe or soaking up the sun on the beaches of Southwest Florida, Lynn felt most at peace with sand beneath her feet or the gentle rocking of a boat beneath her. She was a devoted Jimmy Buffett fan, and his music often served as the soundtrack to her happiest memories.

Above all, Lynn's greatest pride and deepest love were her family. She is survived by her mother, Jeannine Meek; daughter, Mallorie Lawson (Newman), and spouse Jake Lawson; her son, Mitchell Newman and spouse Rachael Newman; and her cherished grandchildren, Daniella Lawson, Andrew Newman, Caroline Newman, and granddaughter Lawson on the way in May. Her love for her children and grandbabies was boundless, and she celebrated each of their accomplishments and milestones with enthusiasm and joy.

Lynn will be remembered for her laughter, her vibrant spirit, and the way she made life feel like a celebration. Her energy filled every room, her love anchored her family, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Wellington Fishers Banquet and Conference Center, 9775 North by Northeast Blvd, Fishers, Indiana 46037 on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1pm-4pm.

Her legacy lives on in the waves she loved the songs she sang, and the family she adored.
