Michael Muff

In celebration of the life of our classmate and friend, Mike Muff:

Michael Muff, 69, passed away on Sunday, January 4, at Community East Hospital,

Indianapolis, IN, with his wife, two sons, and granddaughter by his side.

Mike was born on February 1, 1956 to Willie and Anna Mae Muff in Fort Wayne,

Indiana. He was a 1974 graduate of Fort Wayne Northrop High School, and was an

integral part of the school's award winning basketball team, which won the

single division state championship in Mike's senior year. He then attended

Pensacola State College in Pensacola, Florida and he later transferred to Murray

State University in Murray, Kentucky. Soon after he was drafted by the Golden

State Warriors in the NBA.

In 2024, he was inducted into the Indiana Sports Hall of Fame.

Michael was an easy going, likable and dear man, loved and treasured by his

family and friends.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife of 24 years, Wardene (Wanda) Muff;

daughter Carmella (Barchelle) Williams; two sons, Michael Ryan Muff and Marcus

Douglas Muff; five granddaughters, Brionna, Victoria, Te'Asia, Sania, and Kia.;

five great-granddaughters, and 1 great-grandson.

Waiting at heaven's gate to welcome Mike home are: grandmother, Evelyn Evans;

parents, Willie & Anna Mae Muff; four brothers and two sisters.

Sleep on Michael and take your rest, we all loved you but God loves you best.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 17, with viewing from 10:00 am

1:00 pm, and funeral at 1:00 pm. All services will be at Witherspoon
