Dan, I am lost for words.
You were more than a friend to Freda and me-you were like a son. Anytime we needed anything, you were there without hesitation. Shelby, Tinley, and the rest of your family became family to us as well.
I sit here now reminiscing about all you did for my family and me. In 2018, when I was told I needed both hips replaced and didn´t know how I would manage something as simple as getting in and out of the shower, you told us not to worry-that you would build us a walk-in shower. What was supposed to be a simple bathroom remodel turned into an entire house remodel, all because of your generosity and heart.
The day I was discharged from the hospital, I couldn´t even sit in a car because it was too low. You came and picked me up in my truck. You didn´t stop there-you took me home, cut my grass for weeks, and made sure my wife and son were okay. That´s the kind of man you were.
I´m crying as I write this because I will miss you more than words can say. Thank you, Dan, for everything. I will always appreciate you and carry your kindness with me.
Shelby, you, your family, and the kids are in our thoughts and prayers. We have to stay close.

Dan was truly an amazing neighbor who became family to us. He was such a help to my parents, and I thank God for placing him in our lives. This loss has been so hard for us to digest.
Shelby, my heart goes out to you and to Tinley, Raeleigh, and Traevin. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We wish we could be there with you during this time.
We love you all, and may God continue to bless and keep you.
