Billy H. Lamberth, born on April 9, 1931, entered into rest on January 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy enriched by his service, dedication, and family love. A resident of Goodlettsville, he was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. His vibrant personality was truly one of a kind; he was outgoing, always on the go, and could not sit still.

A proud veteran, Billy served in the United States Marines for two years. Following his military service, he had an illustrious career as a high lift driver for Ford Glass Plant, where he eventually retired. In addition to his role at Ford, he contributed to his community by serving as a part-time police officer for the City of Goodlettsville and was a dedicated Volunteer Fireman. A testament to his commitment to community service, he had the honor of serving as the Grand Marshall of the Inaugural Goodlettsville Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony in 2025.

Billy possessed a wide array of interests that kept him engaged and active. He enjoyed dancing at the Long Hollow Jamboree, playing cards, and keeping busy with various hobbies that brought him joy. He was particularly proud to be a member of the Goodlettsville Masonic Lodge, where he found fellowship and camaraderie. He also enjoyed spending time camping.

Billy is survived by his loving children, Denise (Tom) Sanders and Tammy Rorie; grandchildren Nicki (Michael) Bess and Kaleb Rorie; great-grandson Braxton Bess; and sister Anna Lynn McMurtry.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 66 years, Mrs. Rachel Lamberth; his parents, Homer and Nora Lamberth; and his brothers, Herman Lamberth, Herbert Lamberth, Aubrey Lamberth, and Nolan Lamberth.

As family and friends reflect on Billy’s life, they will remember his unwavering spirit, generous heart, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey. His family invites all to join them in celebrating his remarkable life during the visitation on January 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on January 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville. A Celebration of Life will follow on January 16, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Billy H. Lamberth will forever be remembered as a man who lived fully and loved deeply. His contributions to his family, his community, and his country will echo in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
