Fort Worth, Texas - Billy James Markham, 90, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend departed this life August 22, 2021. Bill was born January 5, 1931 in Bonham, TX. He was the youngest of 5 children. Bill married Marie Norris on March 20, 1953 which lasted 65 years. Together they raised 6 children and welcomed many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Bill was a devout Christian, helping establish Sabine Place Baptist Church where he served as deacon for several years. Bill was a dedicated family man and always put family first. He enjoyed hosting family reunions, travel and never met a stranger. Bill's electrical career led to his masters electrical license and the start of his own business, Markham Electric Co. in 1970 until his retirement in 2019. Bill is survived by his sons, Brian Markham (Patricia), Bill Markham Jr., David Markham (Sarah), Jimmy Markham (Lisa); daughter, Kathy Harget; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Effie Markham wife Marie Markham; brothers, J.R. Markham, George Markham, Charlie Markham; sister, Lydia Whitmire; Joann Lagassey daughter, son-in-law, Bill Harget.
Visitation: Mount Olivet, Sunday, August 29, 6:00-8:00 pm
Funeral Services: Mount Olivet, August 30, 12:00 pm
