In loving memory of Billy Joe McKee, 69, who became a wild flower in Heaven's garden on Saturday, January 6th, 2024. A skilled carpenter and craftsman, he not only built and styled beautiful homes but also built lasting friendships throughout his life.
Billy's vibrant wit and infectious humor endeared him to everyone he met, leaving a legacy of laughter and warmth in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.
He was born the baby of seven children to Thomas Nolan McKee, Sr. and Mary Swanson McKee on March 31st, 1954, who preceded him in Heaven. Also there to greet him were his brothers Thomas Nolan McKee, Jr., Jerry L. McKee, and sister Lucille McKee Guffey.
Left here to remember his life of kindness and character are is his wife Patti Mitchell-McKee, his daughters, Amanda (Randy) Ruelle, Brandy (Jackie) Gilbert, and Brittany (Graham) McKee-Sutherland, sisters, Geraldine Johnson, Shirley Creasman, and brother, Leon McKee, 10 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews, and a multitude of glorious friends who are as close a family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a service to follow in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home with the Reverend Sam Blankenship officiating. No burial services will be held.
