Samantha E. Davis, 78, of Etowah, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Born in the Linsdale Community to Hershel A. and Oma Lance Davis on February 1, 1948, Samantha's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family, work, and her community.
A proud graduate of Polk County High School in Benton, TN, Samantha had a commendable career, being employed for many years at Athens Builders Supply and also providing her services to the Robinson family across Athens, Cleveland, and Charleston, TN. Her work was characterized by a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence, traits that endeared her to many throughout her career.
Samantha found joy and solace in her faith as a member of Delano Baptist Church. Her church community was a source of support and companionship, and she cherished the relationships she built there.
She was surrounded by love and support from her family, including her sister, Wanda L. Davis Tallent of Linsdale, TN, along with several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law: Faye Durham of Statesboro, Georgia, Jenny Davis of Maryville, TN, and Wanda "Nancy" S. Davis of Linsdale, TN.
Samantha was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Hershel A. and Oma Lance Davis, and her brothers: Cecil A. Davis, Dewey C. Davis, F. Lance Davis, and William "Bill" H. Davis. Their memories, along with her enduring spirit, will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Lynn Gay, Annette Morelan, Rhonda Perdew, Darla Jenkins, and the members of Delano Baptist Church for their kindness and support during her long illness and time of need.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bordwine Funeral Home, located at 203 Ohio Ave, Etowah, TN, followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, for the 11:00 AM committal service.
Samantha E. Davis will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with those around her. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched.
