Bill McNurlen went to be with The Lord on January 19th, 2025, at the age of 97. He was born on September 28th, 1927, in Brownwood Tx to William B. McNurlen and Nancy Ford McNurlen. He married Melba Bullock on October 21st, 1951, in San Angelo.
They were blessed with three children Billy Michael, Bobby Kyle and Patricia Jan. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Sons Mike and Bobby, Brothers Virgil McNurlen and Charles McNurlen, Sisters Maybelle Patton, Mattie Lee Koenig, and Juanita Scoggin. Nephews C.D. McNurlen, Jimmy Scoggin and Bill Scoggin and niece Dottie Hensley.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Daughter Patricia, Daughter in Laws Cathy McNurlen, and Carla Bennett. Granddaughters Brandi (Richard), Britani (Kiley), Becca (Matt), Lacee (John), Jordan (Brian), Great-Grandchildren Eason, Jett, Payton, Sutton, and Kyleigh. Nieces Diane, Donna, Linda and Katrina. Nephews Michael Drew, Junior, and Randy and two Special nieces Patti Banda and Lynn Escamilla.
Bill retired from GTE in 1986 after 35 years of service. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Services will be at Shaffer Funeral Home (Sherwood Way) on January 24, 2025 @ 11:00 A.M.
