Billy Medart, 65, a resident of Truchas, NM, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 surrounded by family following a brief illness. Billy was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandparent. Billy was a caring man that was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved his projects, he was always working on something new for himself or working on his "honey do list."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Ralph Medart and Floy Medart; and grandparents, Remejio and Adelida Torrez.
Billy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pauline Medart; sons, Billy J. Medart (Jessica), and Kevin Medart (Melissa); grandchildren, Adrian Medart and Jade Medart (Shawn); Godson, Michael Garcia; sisters, Joyce Romero, Della Medart, Genita Medart, Linda Medart (Dan), and Marsha Medart (JD); nephews, Stephen Romero, Amery Romero, Steven Garcia, Anthony Garcia, Daniel Chavez, and Sam Chavez; and nieces, Britny Romero and Emma Chavez.
Billy was loved by all his family and friends. There will be no public visitations or services. A private service will be held at a later time for close family.
