Billy Moore

Morris A. (Billy) Moore, age 83, a lifelong resident of Alpharetta passed away peacefully at his home on January 8, 2026, from complications of ALS.

Billy was a man of strong faith who was an active participant at First Redeemer Church until his health failed. He was a graduate of Milton High School, where he played football and ran track. He was very proud of the fact that Milton never lost a football game to Roswell during his time there. After high school graduation Billy entered the U.S. Navy. He proudly served on the USS Enterprise, the first nuclear powered aircraft carrier.

Billy's most enjoyable time was the time spent with his two boys, Chanc and Billy. He instilled in them a love of nature during the many times he took them camping and fishing. He was always active in his sons' sports, coaching them in baseball at Wills Park for many years.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Grace Roe, his wife, Charlotte Moore, and his brothers James and Bobby.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Moore, his sons, Chanc Moore (Tracey), Billy Moore (Katie), stepsons Matthew Davis (Kanha) and Michael Davis (Elloa) and ten grandchildren , Will Moore, Matt Moore, Emily Moore, Hadley Moore, Wade Moore, Juliette Sparks, Emma Davis, Becca Davis, Addison Davis, and Lincoln Davis; sister, Marjorie Bates.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, January 12, at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, GA, 30075 at 2:00pm.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 12 from 12:00-2:00 at Northside Chapel prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to There's Hope for the Hungry through First Redeemer Church.
