Billy "Bill" Wayne Mosley, 72, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.

Born November 25, 1953, in Hazard, Kentucky, he was the son of the late, Kelly and Hazel (Herald) Mosley. He married Roberta Mullins on April 14, 1973, at the Vernon Courthouse; she preceded him in death on February 18, 2017.

Bill retired from Arvin's/AK Tube in Columbus where he worked as a sales representative in new products. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in North Vernon. He enjoyed racing late models, sprint, and go karts, woodworking, was a Dale Earnhart Sr. fan and despised Jeff Gordon, UK fan and despised IU, loved being outdoors and riding his ranger. Bill loved visiting with his family in Kentucky.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy (Brian) Barber of Seymour; brother, Charles "Charlie" (Cheryl) Mosley of Madison; grandchildren, Kaila (Brennen) Crouch, of North Vernon, Elijah Drake of Indianapolis, Luke Barber of North Vernon and Isaiah Barber, of Dupont; great grandchildren, Bentley Crouch and Rhett Crouch, both of North Vernon and Baylor Barber of Dupont; and his racing buddy and best friend, Bud Franks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; sister, Polly Cruz; and his Yorkie, Ginger.

A funeral service for Bill will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Bill through the funeral home to the American Melanoma Foundation.
