Billy Murray Jr. Obituary
Mr. Billy Leo Murray Jr., age 69, of Dobson, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born March 6, 1955, in Surry County, to the late Lizzie Allen and Billy Leo Murray Sr., who survives. In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Davis Murray; sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Glass and Shay, and Michelle Murray Roberts; nieces and nephews, Lauren Fowler, Sarah Roberts Howlett, Ethan Roberts, Michael Roberts, Jason Glass, and Travis Glass; and a special great nephew, Corban Howlett.
Billy was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and great uncle. He was an avid fisherman and boater who enjoyed anything water related. He also adored his pets. Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 PM, at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, with funeral services beginning at 3:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Chapel, with Pastor Marty Nixon and Pastor Cory Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the New Home Church of Christ Cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Murray family. Memorials be made at:
