Billy Pert, 69, passed away unexpectedly January 29, 2026 in Franklin, Maine. Billy was born on June 30th 1956 in Castine, Maine to Barbara (Moon) Gardner and Duane Pert.

He lived his whole life in Maine and attended George Stevens Academy. He spent his life working hard and had a variety of different professions that he made a living at. He worked for many years as an over the road truck driver and traveled back and forth across the country many times. He worked as a wood cutter in the woods of coastal Maine and worked for various construction and logging companies including Tracy's Construction, Dean Young Forestry, and ending his career with Atherton Construction where he mainly drove dump trucks and operated heavy equipment.

Billy loved his four-wheeler and going riding, cutting wood for his wood stand business. He loved and was so proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren and his chocolate lab Lilly. He enjoyed going to the local store to see all of his friends every morning.

Billy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mamie Pert of Franklin, Maine; daughter Britney Pert of Franklin, Maine; daughter Jessica Pert of Ellsworth, Maine; grandson Tyler Lupo and fiancé Emily Jack of Franklin, Maine; granddaughter Amie Lupo of Ellsworth Maine; mother and stepfather Barbara and Dick Gardener of Franklin, Maine; sister Dawn Milliken of Ellsworth Maine; step brother Brent Harmon and wife Diane of Brooksville, Maine. As well as numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father and stepmother Duane and Roberta Pert and brother-in-law George Milliken Jr.

A celebration of Billy's life will be planned for a later time to be announced.
