Billy Pfaff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home & Aqua Cremation Center on Dec. 27, 2025.
Billy "Moose" Bruce Pfaff Sr., of Morris, Illinois, was born on May 30, 1935, in Morris, Illinois, to Albert and Carol (Gower) Pfaff. A true Morris native through and through, Billy grew up here, went to school here, built his life here-and never found a reason to leave, because in his mind, there was nowhere better.
On March 3, 1959, Billy married the love of his life, Marjorie Louise Carpenter of Marseilles, Illinois. Together, they made their home in Morris and built a life rich in family, friendship, laughter, and unwavering devotion. If you were lucky enough to know them, you knew they were a team in every sense of the word.
Known affectionately-and accurately-as "Moose," Billy had a larger-than-life presence paired with an even larger heart. He loved the outdoors, took great pride in mowing (often better than most golf courses), and doted endlessly on his beloved furry baby, Harley. Moose believed fresh air and hard work could fix just about anything.
Billy spent his life serving others-his family, his friends, and the entire Morris community. He was especially well known for coming to the rescue when heating or cooling problems struck, proudly living by his motto: "Call for any reason during any season." And he meant it-day, night, hot, cold, holiday Moose would show up.
He was dependable to the core, generous without hesitation, and always willing to lend a hand, offer advice (whether you wanted it or not) or crack a smile when you needed it most. If something was broken, Moose fixed it. If someone needed help, Moose was already on the way.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Pfaff; two sons, Billy B. Pfaff Jr. (Debbie Farmer) of Morris and Terry J. Pfaff (Kathy Clark) of Morris; one daughter, Sherry L. (Curtis) Harris of Channahon; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever remember Grandpa Moose as a man who showed love through actions and doughnuts!
Billy "Moose" Pfaff will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his kind heart, his legendary dependability, and the countless lives made better simply because he showed up-every time, without fail.
A private service will be held for Moose at a later date. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Morris.
