Billy Wayne Sexton

Billy Wayne Sexton, 79, of Florence, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood Kentucky. He was born October 14, 1946, in Carlisle, Kentucky. The son of the late Joe Sexton Jr. and Kathleen Buckler-Sexton. He was a member of Elsmere Baptist Church. He is a retired Truck Driver and Veteran serving 6 years in the United States Army. He was proceeded in death by his wife, JoAnn Sexton and his brother Gregory L. Sexton. Surviving are their children, Chris Sexton and Angela Sexton; sister-in-laws, Donna Dyer Smith; Sherry Sexton; Gina Mintkenbaugh (Mike); brother-in-laws, Sonny Grubbs (Denise); Kenny Grubbs (Gloria); Rick Grubbs (Theresa); 2 grandchildren Crista; Sevana and 2 great-grandchildren Clayton and Easton. He was a great man, that had an impact on everyone who knew him. Memorial services are to be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2026, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, where visitation will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Burial will be followed at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Sexton family.
