Doug was born September 14, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Earl Sexton and Jewel Thacker Sexton. He was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church and lived his life firmly grounded in his faith. For more than 40 years, he faithfully served as a minister and pastor, dedicating his life to sharing the Gospel and leading others to Jesus. Doug was a man who believed in serving others. He worked faithfully within his community and served for many years on the McCreary County Water Board, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever there was a need.
