Billy Edgar Shortridge

Billy Edgar Shortridge, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 80. Born on April 18, 1944, in Vansant, Virginia, Billy lived a full life surrounded by family and those he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Ethel Shortridge; brothers Rudolph and Larry; and sister Shelby.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Shelbie Shortridge, who stood by his side through life's journey. Billy was the proud father of four children: Billie (Thomas) Kizinski, Rhonda (Bryon) Cook, Lydia (Linden) Lewandowski, and Melinda (Damien) Madrigal. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Angela, Brandy, Cristina, Ashley, Jason, Bryon Jr., Stephanie, Nessy, Kriya, Larissa, Linden, Makena, and Addelyn, as well as 18 great-grandchildren.
Billy is also survived by his siblings, Dan, Sam, Mary, Martha, and Patricia, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. His faithful furry companion, Fiona, will miss him dearly.
Billy Edgar Shortridge's memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends. His warm spirit, love of life, and dedication to his loved ones will never be forgotten.
