Billy Dean Shytle

Billy Dean Shytle, age 84, of Ellenboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at his residence.
Billy was born Wednesday, September 7, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Wilburn Shytle and Sudie Millwood Dufault. He was a skilled carpenter and worked in carpentry for over forty years. Billy was an active member of Corinth Baptist Church and was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing. He loved his family and especially treasured spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Dufault and a sister, Kathryn Winkler.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his loving wife of sixty-four years, Wilma Smart Shytle; daughter, Julia Pruett (Wayne) and son, Gary Dean Shytle (Angie) all of Ellenboro; grandchildren, Ashley Lovelace (Avery), Casey Pruett (Jessica) and Kamron Shytle (Emily); great-grandchildren, Mary-Grace, Turner, Colton and Tex; two sisters, Jackie Allen of Forest City, Frances Difatta (Tommy) of Lincolnton and a brother, Marshall Shytle (Glenice) of Dallas, NC.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28th at Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Conner, Reverend Ad Hopper and Reverend Jason Madison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family wishes to thank the entire Hospice staff for all the loving care and compassion that was given to Billy and his family during his illness.
