Billy David Storey, age 82, died Monday, February 3, 2025 in Hurricane, Utah. He was born February 22, 1942 in Charleston, Arkansas to Benjamin Asa Burgess Storey and Daisy Frances Alstott. On October 20, 1963 he married Constance Joan Turner in Riverside, California. On March 23, 1968 they were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple.
David grew up in Charleston, Arkansas. As a young man his family moved to Southern California where he graduated High School. There he met and married Connie. They relocated to Logandale, Nevada in 1967 where they raised their family. Dave was a talented chef, working in several restaurants in Las Vegas, including Papa Gars for twelve years. He also worked as a school bus driver, but his passion was working in his garden. He loved growing vegetables, pomegranates fruit and nut trees. He enjoyed serving others in the community and through the church. He and Connie moved to Toquerville, Utah in 2005 where he enjoyed establishing a new farm, greenhouse and orchard.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; three sons and seven daughters: Matthew; Amberlyn both of Toquerville; Aileen (Kevin) Huffman of Willow Springs, MO; Carina (Tom) Barnum of N. Las Vegas, NV; Elizabeth (James) Lamping of Oceanside, CA; Debora Gilson of Vancouver, WA; Miranda of Columbia, MD; Andrew (Tami) of Spokane Valley, WA; Clarissa of Catonsville, MD; Benjamin (Bitna) of Colorado Springs, CO; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one brother, Bob (Judy) of AR. He was preceded in death by one son, Alexander; nine brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. (MST) in the Toquerville, 2nd Ward Chapel, 63 N. Toquerville Blvd., Toquerville, UT. Visitation will be from 10 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. (PST) in the Logandale Cemetery, Logandale, Nevada.
