Billy Dean Vance

Billy Dean Vance, son of the late Elbert Howard Vance and Flossie (Cramer) Vance was born on March 4, 1938 in Allenville, Missouri and departed his life on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 87 years.

He was a former heavy equipment operator and member of international local union #513 since May 14, 1965. Bill enjoyed breeding and training quarter horses and taking his grandkids riding on the side by side. He was also entertained by watching rodeo on T.V. and hunting with beagles.

On December 15, 1956 he was united in marriage to Shirley McLemore in Hernando, Mississippi. Mrs. Vance preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Timmy (Celine) Vance of Scott City; one daughter, Lana (Marvin) Magill of Ashland, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Aaron Vance, Elliott (Holly) Vance, Katelyn (Michael) Martin, Trenton (Christina) Vance, Allison Magill, Logan Magill, and Austin Magill; nine great-grandchildren, Vivian Vance, Carter Vance, Ryleigh Vance, Elliana Vance, Madelyn Vance, Stella Martin, Lincoln Martin, Jensen Martin, and Rita Kate Martin.

Along with his parents and wife; he was preceded in death by one son, Billy Dean Vance, Jr.; one brother, Don Vance; three sisters, Carmen Propst, Violet Ware, and Bessie Grojean.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Kenny Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
