Billy Lee Williams, 81, entered the gates of heaven on September 1, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Lee Williams and mother, Mattie Lou Escoe, along with siblings, June Rainey and WT Escoe. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debra Cooper Williams, his children; Sonya (Dale) McCurry, Lamar (Madonna) Williams, Michael (Christy) Williams, Leanne (Henry) Mack, and Lindsey Williams, his siblings; Alvin (Sherry) Williams, Judy (JW) Payton, Jerry Williams, Edith (Richard) Duncan, Dewitt (Wanda) Escoe, and Lucious (Debbie) Escoe. He has 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Billy was a man of great faith, loving spouse, wonderful father, and a friend to many. Billy attended Gilead Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir. Billy was a lay pastor and a retired business owner; he took pride in his work with brick masonry and carpet cleaning. Billy never met a stranger and loved to talk, fish, and do lawn work. He enjoyed music, singing in the choir, and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. A burial service will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
