BILLY W. WISDOM
Billy W. Wisdom, 81, Centralia, MO passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Centralia, MO. He was born March 25, 1942, in the Sturgeon / Clark area, the son of the late William R. and Marjorie A. (Gardner) Wisdom. On June 14, 1963, he was united in marriage to Carolyn (Comer) Wisdom.
In addition to his wife Carolyn of 60 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter Lisa Dickey and her husband Ben of Centralia, MO; one son Harlan Wisdom and his wife Kelli of Centralia, MO; one brother Darrell Bosworth and his wife Kim of Martinsburg, MO; four sisters Glenda Ramsey and her husband Mike of the state of Wyoming, Nona Woolfolk of the state of Florida, Teresa Tainter and her husband Quentin of Centralia, MO and Joyce Wisdom of Bowling Green, MO; five grandchildren Justin Wisdom and his wife Nicole, Josh Wisdom, Lakin Boyce and her husband Chris, Cory Dickey and Taylor Dickey and his wife Rachel; six great grandchildren Layla, Evelynn, Jaxstyn, Cora, Eli and Logan; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, his sister Linda Wisdom preceded him in death.
Billy worked as a truck driver for many years. He drove for several companies and later owned and operated his own trucking company. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and target shooting. Billy loved spending time with his friends and family, especially all his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
