Billy Carrol Yates, 76, of Duncan passed from this life Thursday, October 9, 2025 at his home in Duncan, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in the Bailes-Polk Funeral home Chaple with Ladd Polk officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Comanche, Oklahoma.
Billy was born March 24, 1949 in Lawton, Oklahoma the son of Billy Gene and Arywanda M. (Martin) Yates. He and Marilyn Davis were married January 1, 1994 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1969. In 2002 he retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He enjoyed Fishing, Camping and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn Yates of the home in Duncan, Oklahoma; children Patricia Kay Holloway of Branson, Missouri, Robert Lee Yates of Duncan, Oklahoma, Billie Jo (B.J.) Harvey of Duncan, Oklahoma, Michelle Ridley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rhonda Williams of Comanche, Oklahoma, Joseph Yates of Duncan, Oklahoma, Matthew Norris of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Larry Myers of Amarillo, Texas, Stacey McBee of Midwest City, Oklahoma, LaGena O'Neal of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Carmen Turner of Duncan, Oklahoma; sisters Diana Gail Dickey of Hutchinson, Kansas and Sheila Kay Harris of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; numerous grand and great grandchildren.
