It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Binh Nguyen, a respected husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who passed away on April 04, 2025, at the age of 94. He died peacefully in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by family. His legacy will be remembered by all who knew him.
Binh Nguyen was born in December 1930 in Hanoi, Vietnam. Raised in a loving family, he was immersed in the rich culture and history of his homeland from an early age. Binh displayed a strong curiosity and passion for learning, which guided his pursuits throughout life. He dedicated himself to his education, excelling in his studies of law. Binh's academic achievements were a testament to his hard work, intellect, and leadership. After completing his military career and education, he achieved success in his professional life, ultimately attaining the position of Vice President at Shell Oil Company in Saigon, Vietnam.
While working in Saigon, Binh met Phuong, whom he married in 1963. They built a fulfilling life together and were blessed with four children and five grandchildren, who brought great joy to Binh's life. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, consistently prioritizing his family's needs.
In 1975, Binh facilitated his family's immigration to the United States, arranging transportation for numerous relatives to ensure their safe arrival at Fort Chafee, Arkansas. Through divine providence, Binh's family was sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, where they were baptized and became active members. Demonstrating his profound commitment to their future in their new homeland, Binh also worked diligently to secure United States citizenship for his family, proudly achieving this significant milestone on March 20, 1981.
Binh Nguyen is remembered for his kindness, integrity, and dedication to excellence. He positively influenced many through his work, mentorship, and unwavering support for his loved ones. Binh worked diligently to sponsor his relatives from Vietnam to the US, securing a better future for all. His memory will endure in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service for Binh Nguyen will be held on May 17, 2025. The service will commemorate Binh Nguyen's life. His contributions and achievements will be remembered.
