Binh Van Nguyen

Binh Van Nguyen passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 3rd, 2025 at 2:47 PM in Edina, Minnesota, at the age of 88. Binh was born on May 2nd, 1938 to My Thi Mai & Yen Van Nguyen in Phu Xuan Hoi, Vietnam. He lived through and witnessed a complex history of Vietnam. He answered the call of his birth country and served as a captain in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. He admired and loved his newly adopted country, The United States of America. Binh and his family established their roots in Bloomington, Minnesota and its surrounding areas. He was a devoted husband, father (Ba), and grandfather. Binh spent all of his time living with his family, his children, helped taking care of his 10 grandchildren, archiving the family's history, and tending to his garden. Binh is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ly Thi Le and his children, Kelvin Khiem Nguyen ,Binhminh Thi Van, Chi Kim Nguyen, Donald Wittmann, Quang Duc Nguyen, Tuyen Kim Hoang Nguyen, Lan Ngoc Nguyen, Tung Manh Dinh, Sang Duc Nguyen, Huong Nguyen, Khanh Duc Nguyen, Liem Duc Nguyen, Yen Hong Do, Ngan Le-Thuy Nguyen, Brian Joe Lee; and 10 grandchildren: Lincoln Thien Nguyen, Emma Tien Nguyen, Matthee Khoa Nguyen, Hoang Duc-Huy Nguyen, Vivian Van Nguyen, Tuan Nguyen-Manh Dinh, Quyen Nguyen-Bao Dinh, Khoi Nguyen-Minh Dinh, Neil Tuong Nguyen, Sophie Vy Nguyen.
