Dennis William Becker

Dennis (Denny) William Becker of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away peacefully just two weeks shy of his 93rd birthday. He was born on November 18, 1932, in Minneapolis, MN, to Florence and Dale Becker.
Denny grew up alongside his beloved siblings, Betty Nelson and Dale (Dick) Becker. In June 1957, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Andersen, and together they raised three sons: Bradley Becker, John (Denise) Becker, and Jim (Brenda) Becker. Denny was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren-Mackenzie, Nicole, Reed, Katy, and Luke-who brought him immense joy, as well as three great-grandchildren who continued to brighten his days.
Denny was a proud U.S. Marine, and a dedicated member of the Minnehaha Masonic Lodge #165. Denny built lifelong friendships through his 34-year career at Washington Scientific Industries and 12 years at Air Plus Limited.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Dale Becker; sister, Betty Nelson; wife, Dorothy Becker; and son, Bradley Becker.
Denny moved through life with a steadfast belief that everyone should be treated with kindness-a value that defined him and was endearing to all who knew him. Denny loved being surrounded by people, serving the Lord and his community through his church and outreach programs. He found great joy in playing golf with his sons and grandsons, enjoying Bocce Ball with the "Born Again Jocks," and sharing his love of music, theater, and classic performers like Dean Martin, Johnny Mathis, and Andy Williams. In his later years, he loved traveling with his special friend Barbara Felker.
Denny brought joy to those around him every day of his life, right up to his final moments. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Amira Choice Bloomington, Memory Care, and to Hospice of the Midwest for their compassionate care and support during this hard time.
A private family service and burial will be held at Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel in honor of Dennis. In lieu of gifts, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hospice of the Midwest in his memory.
Denny's kindness, faith, and laughter will live on in all who were blessed to know and love him.
