Blaine Jacobson Obituary

Blaine Evan Jacobson, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, has moved onto a better place waiting for the return of our Savior Jesus Christ on November 30, 2025, in Wausau, Wisconsin, surrounded by his wife and church family. He was born on August 8, 1961, in Provo, Utah, the son of Ryles and Flora (Christensen) Jacobson, where his loving spirit and infectious laughter first blossomed.

Blaine's life was a tapestry woven with love, humor, and faith. A proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his beliefs formed the foundation upon which he built not only his life but also the lives of those around him. His unwavering devotion shined through in his everyday actions, as he embraced opportunities to share his kind heart and warm smile with others.

He was well-known for his outgoing nature, always ready to brighten someone’s day with a joke or a lighthearted quip. Blaine's caring personality resonated deeply with everyone who was fortunate enough to cross his path. He cherished meaningful connections, valuing the precious moments spent with those he loved most, especially with his wife, Tricia Marie Jacobson. Together, they created a bond enriched by a shared love of bible study, prayer, listening to music and worship. Dinners, laughter-filled movie nights, camping, fishing and traveling will be cherished memories. Their love was a testament to partnership and unwavering support through every season of life.

Blaine was immensely proud of his family, viewing them as his greatest achievement. He leaves behind his cherished children, Andrew (Haley) Jacobson and Mary Brown, and his stepchildren; Miranda (Joshua) Brownlow, Jacob Koepke (Selena Chesmore) and Jonathan (Jenna) Koepke. Holden Garski and Emily Jupp and her children were their honorary adopted children who we "loved on" and mentored who were a constant source of joy for him. The pride he felt for his grandchildren was immeasurable, as he delighted in their milestones and achievements, eagerly sharing tales of their accomplishments with anyone who would listen. In his eyes, there was no truer joy than watching Oliver, Penny, Liam and Raynor Jacobson and his step grandchildren Oliver Koepke and Rylee Brownlow grow and thrive.

In Blaine's younger age he played high school football and hunted pheasant, ducks and deer. He dabbled in taxidermy and had a love of trucks. His greatest joy was volunteering as a missionary to the Philippines to serve the Lord. His service continued throughout his life. He would often say when he went out fishing that "he was going to his office".

He is survived by his loving wife, Tricia; his son Andrew (Haley); daughter Mary; his stepchildren; sister Bonnie Blackhurst; and brother Robert (Steve Starr) Jacobson and Gale Pierce. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends. Blaine's warmth and charm will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched, including his extended family of friends and church members, who knew him as a pillar of love and support.

Blaine is preceded in death by his parents, beloved sister Connie, brother Bernard and stepson Heath. His legacy of love, laughter, and faith endures as an inspiring reminder to appreciate life's simplicities and cherish the bonds we forge.

Though he has left this earthly realm, Blaine Evan Jacobson's spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him. Until we meet again, may we carry forward his laughter, his love, and his unwavering faith.

A memorial service for Blaine will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; 152190 Jonquil Lane, Rib Mountain, Wisconsin 54403, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00AM. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the time of service.

The family would like to send their deep gratitude appreciation and thankfulness to Dr. Melissa Wendall and staff at the Aspirus Cardiac Department for all of their care for Blaine.
