Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferrara Colonial Mortuary - Orange on Nov. 19, 2025.
Blanca Estela Meneses, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Orange, California. Born on February 9, 1950, in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, she brought joy and love into the lives of those around her for 75 beautiful years.
Blanca grew up in the warm embrace of Mexicali, where she attended local schools and formed lifelong bonds with her family and friends. It was at the celebration of her 15th birthday that she met her soulmate, Manuel Gilberto Meneses. The attraction between them was immediate and undeniable. After eight years of courtship filled with love and laughter, they married and embarked on a new life together in Santa Ana, California. Their union was a testament to enduring love, having been married for 52 years.
The couple was blessed with three daughters, Blanca Mateos, Lorena Le and her husband Quoc, and Karina Correal and her husband Jimmy. Blanca's pride and joy extended to her nine grandchildren: Myah Le, Gabriel Mateos, Jayden Le, Carolina Correal, Vanessa Mateos, Jacob Le, Victoria Correal, Maddox Le, and Adrian Correal. She is also survived by her loving brothers, Sergio and Rodolfo Rodriguez, and sisters Catalina Hernandez, Aurora Perez, and Yolanda Gonzalez. She is reunited in eternal rest with her brothers, Jose, Porfirio, and Enrique Rodriguez, and sisters, Linda Gonzalez, Marie Ayala, and Amelia Benitez.
Blanca's passion for learning and her commitment to her family's future led her to take college courses in the United States. She worked diligently alongside her children, mastering the English language and proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1996. Blanca was the heart of her home, a dedicated homemaker who also excelled in her professional life. She spent over 25 years in administration, where her meticulous nature and ability with numbers were greatly valued.
Her love for her family was unmatched, and she embraced her role as "Nana" with every fiber of her being. An amazing cook, Blanca's culinary skills were so renowned that her husband often encouraged her to open her own Mexican restaurant. Her home was a beacon of warmth and generosity, where she took great pleasure in caring for others and ensuring that no one ever left hungry.
Blanca's interests were as varied as they were rich. She had a sharp mind that loved the challenge of sudoku puzzles, and she enjoyed shopping, antiquing, and traveling to Mexico with her loved ones. Her greatest passion, however, was spending time with her family. She was a woman of deep Catholic faith, whose empathy and pure love lit up every room she entered.
Words that best describe Blanca are loving, generous, and gentle. She had a big heart and a gentle soul that made every occasion complete with her presence. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
Blanca Estela Meneses' life was a beautiful tapestry woven with devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the indelible mark she has left in our hearts. Her spirit will forever be cherished and remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
