Blanche “June” Hartis, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on June 13, 1935, June lived a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of all who knew her. Her kind spirit and gentle nature left an indelible mark on those around her. June will be remembered for her unwavering love, infectious laughter, and warm smile. Her legacy of compassion and grace will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our memories.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Burnie “Jack” Hartis; father, Howard Fikes; mother, Rachel Fikes; brother, Clifford Fikes; and daughter, Laurie Barrett. She is survived by her brother, Bill Fikes; daughter and son in law, Diane and Phil Sharp; grandchildren Wes and Jennifer Sharp, Jennifer and Lee Cottrell, Travis Beeler and Ashley Boyden, Rachel and Chris Godoy; great-grandchildren, Rex and Katie Sharp, Kylie and Blane Cottrell, Leia and Elisabeth Beeler, Isabel Henley and Dylan Godoy.
A funeral service to honor June’s life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessings Funeral Home, 401 Elm Street, Mansfield, Texas 76063. The service will be immediately followed by a graveside service at Italy Cemetery in Italy, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Phil Sharp, Wes Sharp, Rex Sharp, Lee Cottrell, Blane Cottrell, Travis Beeler, Chis Godoy, and Dylan Godoy.
As Hebrews 11:16 reminds us, “But as it is, they desire a better country,that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.”
June’s family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, resting in the presence of her Savior.
