Blanche Malaby

Blanche Vida Malaby, 92, passed away on 12/10/2025. Born on September 20, 1933, in Eureka, California, Blanche lived a long and independent life defined by her routines, her strength, and her deep love for animals.
Blanche was not known for being outwardly warm, but she cared in her own steady and honest way. Her animals were her greatest companions, and she devoted herself to them throughout her life. They brought her comfort, purpose, and a sense of peace.
She valued her privacy, spoke her mind, and lived life on her own terms. Her independence and straightforward nature were well known to those who knew her.
Blanche is survived by her daughters, Arlene Kelly and Charlene Tallman, as well as grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Malaby and father William Malaby.
A private service will be held on 12/16/2025 where family will gather to honor Blanche in a way that reflects her life and spirit.
