Blanche Lanita Yerves

Blanche Lanita (Wendling) Yerves was born February 17, 1923 and passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021 at her home in Santa Rosa, CA; surrounded by family; at the age of 98. Blanche is survived by her son, Brent; granddaughter, Jessica; great-grandson, Colby and so many other loved family members, Susan, Phill, Lee, Kitty, Don, Phyllis, Lisa, Dennis, Cindy, Danica, Jay and so many others whose lives she touched. Blanche was preceded in death by husband, Robert "Lucky"; her son, Cary; her sisters, Barbra, Rue, Harriet, Arvilla; brother, Glenister; and her grandson; Joseph.
Blanche was born on February 17 to Joseph and Lillian. She graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1941. Blanche was an accomplished artist and so much of her work still blesses many homes, yards and bookshelves. Blanche painted with the most detailed and stunning precision; from ceramics to wood, there is nothing she couldn't envision with beautiful colors. Blanche was also a poet. From a young age she wrote everything from little ditties and cards to imaginative expressions everyone could relate to. Blanche was a great friend; she always had a cup of coffee to offer and an ear to lend. She was full of wonderful advice and cared for so many. Blanche and Robert were long time members of the Moose Lodge in Santa Rosa where her favorite event was a good game of bingo. Blanche had a flare for fashion and could always be spotted with a stunning broach that would undoubtedly make a statement. Blanche left a mark in all the lives she touched and leaves us all with memories worth remembering.
A spreading of ashes is scheduled for January 18, 2022, 1pm at Santa Rosa Memorial Park in the Rose Garden. The family would like to thank Sutter Care at Home (Santa Rosa) for their efforts and dedication to Blanche's Care.
