Blanton I. Harris

On December 12, 2025, Blanton Ivey Harris found peace when he was once again united with the love of his life Gloria McDaniel Harris. Blanton left this earth on the same date he was born 88 years apart. Through those 88 years, Blanton spent most of his life in Milledgeville, GA. One of his fondest memories was the time he spent working at Franklin Hodges' Service Station, as he loved all things that moved! He was also proud of his service to our country being stationed at Fort Bragg. He worked at Napa Auto Parts for years before beginning his career serving the State of Georgia at Central State Hospital.
Blanton and his wife, Gloria, loved traveling and took many excursions on their Honda Gold Wing seeing and exploring across the U.S.A. Until Gloria's death earlier this year, they were inseparable. When he was reunited with her yesterday, he got the best birthday gift EVER!
Blanton was also predeceased by his parents, Ivey Lee and Jewel Harris, and his brother Robert Wayne Harris. He is survived by his sister, Wylene Harris McCook, his brother, Dawson Ray Harris, Sr. (Louise) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. David Simpson officiating.
