Blas Antonio Torres, 76, of Jersey City, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Blas spend his last year in Bethlehem, where he fought his battle with cancer. Born on July, 26, 1949, in San German, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Blas Torres and Hermnia (Matos) Torres.
Blas worked at Colgate in New York for 36 years until retirement in 2006. He was a funny, kind, and loving man who also enjoyed his independence and living in the city.
Blas will be dearly missed by his daughter, Anita-Marie Torres and her companion, Barry Hohl; granddaughter, Natalia Marie Devine; and sister, Minerva Tucci and her husband, Richard.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Lina Torres and Ada Vasquez.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 2026 from 11-12 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, Pa 18018 with a funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
