Blye Tucker Vickers was born on December 3, 1929, in Sanborn, FL in Wakulla County. She went home to be with the Lord Jesus on October 3, 2025. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a young girl on August 30, 1941, and was baptized in the creek beside Mt. Elon Baptist church. She graduated from Sopchoppy High School with honors. After graduation she moved to Tallahassee to work. There she met the love of her life, Claude Vickers. They were married on December 31, 1948, in Cairo, Ga and enjoyed over 47 years of happiness. Claude proceeded her in death in May of 1996. They were blessed with 3 children who were very much a part of their lives. Her family was very special to her. Blessed to live a long life, she loved others with a heart full of compassion, kindness and beauty. She lived her life with the help of the Lord, in accordance to Proverbs 3: 5&6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and He will direct your path." She was a long-time member of Thomasville Road Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the Young at Heart choir, served in the flower ministry and other areas of service. She is survived by her children: Donna and Cal Hodges, Rhonda and Larry Register and Dennis and Kim Vickers, her grandchildren: Chris Hodges [Caren], Phillip Register, Justin Vickers [Jennifer], Melody Register, Megan Philips [Ronson], her great grandchildren: Kaylee, Claudia, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Luke, Austin, Lola and Hudson, her sister: Bobby Roberts and many other family members she dearly loved. The family would like to express their gratitude to Madison Rehabilitation and Healthcare and Big Bend Hospice for the loving care they provided for our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Thomasville Road Baptist Church or Big Bend Hospice of Tallahassee. The family will have a visitation Monday, October 6, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00PM at Bevis Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Thomasville Road Baptist Church at 11:00AM. The burial will immediate follow the service at Roselawn Cemetery. Dayne Parker of Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the Vickers Family with their arrangements.

Mrs. Vickers was such a sweet lady and a great example of a Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was loved dearly by the Gilbert and Willoughby´s family. I am praying for comfort for all the family but know she is happy to be home with Jesus. Sending love and hugs.
