Bo Dudek

Robert C. "Bo" Dudek, 86, of Lake View Terrace, Town of Esopus, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026 at HealthAlliance Hospital.

He was born in Kingston, NY on May 16, 1939, a son of the late John A. and Rose (Janasiewicz) Dudek.

He was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1957, and attended UCCC.

Bo met the love of his life, Silvana (De Cicco), whom he married on May 5, 1963 at St. Mary's Church, and created a beautiful life.

In 1966 he began his career of 30+ years at IBM, first in Kingston and then Poughkeepsie. He was a member of their Quarter Century Club.

Bo loved sports, both watching and participating. Over the years he played in basketball, softball, bowling, and golf leagues. A passionate golfer, Bo achieved a Hole-in-One at New Paltz Golf Course's 8th hole with his 8-iron at age 80. He was also a club champion in 2020.

His love for skiing lasted into his mid-70s, and he belonged to the "Top of the Hill Gang" at Belleayre Mountain, skiing every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Bo coached Town of Esopus Little League, and was a member of the White Eagle Benevolent Society.

He cherished vacations with family and friends, and was famous for always knowing someone - no matter where he went.

Above all, he treasured spending time with his family.

Bo is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Silvana (De Cicco) Dudek; children Lisa (Chris) Faxon, Rob (Alyson) Dudek, Michael (Shelby) Dudek, all of Kingston. Grandchildren, Meghan Faxon, Thomas Faxon, Cassandra Polacco, Chad Vining, Madison Dudek, Alex Dudek and Sarah Dudek. He is also survived by sisters & brothers in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is pre-deceased by his brother John (Jack) Dudek, as well as close family members.

Friends will be received at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The procession will form 10:00 am, Saturday, February 21, 2026, from the funeral home, thence to Immaculate Conception Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Bo to either: Happy to Help Food Pantry, Christmas Wishes of Ulster County, or White Eagle Scholarship Fund.
