I'll always remember him; Coach Biddle. He was my track coach at Santa Maria High School, class of 1962. He was always encouraging and tough as a coach. The last time I saw him was in 1963, a year after we'd graduated, I was with Penny Coe when Kennedy was shot, and a TV was on in the background at Dino's when it flashed on the news. Coach Biddle was working a second job during the Thanksgiving Holiday. I'd gone there to purchase some shotgun shells. He'd been a big part of my life for four years. He was caring for his family and his students. He was working to make extra for his family during the Thanksgiving Holiday, as teachers were never paid enough. How could I ever forget him, and that moment, when Kennedy was shot, the last time I remember seeing him?

My deepest sympathy to the Biddle family, you are in my prayers. Coach Biddle was a special person made just for us, speaking as one of his many former students, he was our coach, mentor, and friend...and we are so grateful for having that honor in being apart of and knowing him as such. Those are the memories we cherish, and they will never be taken away. We thank you...his family for sharing Coach Biddle....God Bless you and God Speed Coach Biddle, Amen.

he was a fantastic man, and I loved being near and around him. We had the best times camping up at Hume lake end. He was funny and handsome, and he will be missed.

I was a student T.A. my senior year and had made some bad choices, but he was very non judgmental and that meant a lot to me. You could tell he was a genuinely good person, all the attributes mentioned he exuded. God Bless You Coach Biddle. Cheers!

Coach Biddle, without question, was my favorite teacher, coach and mentor, while I attended SMHS. I was subjected to his famed teasing from my freshman year on... always delivered with a smile and chuckle. He made a point of making life a little more fun for students; and, I'll always remember him fondly for that gift.
