Obituary of Bob Garlock
Robert Allen Garlock, 81, of Fort Atkinson passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
Robert was born on October 2, 1942 in Elkhorn to Donald and Inez (Barnes) Garlock. On March 20, 1971 Robert married Christie Reich in Rockford, Illinois. Together they raised their six children in Whitewater. After living in Whitewater for over thirty years, the couple moved to Fort Atkinson in 2012. Robert was a mechanic for thirty-five years and worked for Feros Amoco and various other employers.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling, horseshoe throwing, and bird watching. Above all else, Robert enjoyed spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife, Christie Garlock; children, Scott (Melba) Garlock of Clinton, Rob (Lisa) Garlock of Burlington, Dawn (John) Kieffer of Woodruff, Chad (Jolene) Garlock of Palmyra, Lynnette (Michael) Rodriguez of Janesville, Jennifer Diagne of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Johnny, Talon, Alexis, Andrew, Gavin, Brody, Zander, Jaelyn, Georgia, Cody, Austin, Brooklyn; great-grandchild, Mae James, Axton ; and siblings, Richard Garlock of Red Granite, Donna Skibbe of East Troy, Harry (Dar) "Red" Garlock of Palmyra, Barbara Crerar of Palmyra, Jerry (Lori) Garlock of Palmyra, Jean "Pinky" Garlock of Palmyra, Donnie (Liz) Garlock of Whitewater; sister-in-law, Vicki Garlock of Whitewater; along with many other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Inez Garlock; and brothers, Daryl Garlock, and Ray Garlock.
Donations can be made in Robert's name to Rainbow Hospice Care.
A celebration of life will take place at 1PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Nitardy Funeral Home in Whitewater, 550 N. Newcomb St. A visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of service.
The family would like to give special thanks to Rainbow Hospice staff for their exceptional care for Robert. The family would like to extend a thank you, also, to My Choice Wisconsin Family Care team and Liam, Robert's companion caretaker.
