Robert 'Bob' Hill, 90, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on January 12th, 2025. Bob was born March 17th, 1934, to the late Hamlin and Freda Hill. Bob owned a local custom home building business for decades as a highly respected member of the Lancaster business community, volunteered for the Charity Newsies, was an avid golfer, and never once shaved strokes from his score.
Bob is survived by his sister, Betty Francisco of Parkersburg, WV; his sons, Rob (Peggy) Hill of Homosassa, Fl., David (Vickie) Hill of Ft. Mill, SC., and Charles (Shelly) Hill of Bremen, OH.; 7 grandchildren, too many great grandchildren to count, and even some great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 65 years Louise, sister Catherine Craiglow, and daughter Lori Lagrow.
Friends may call between 4pm-7pm on Friday, January 24th, 2025, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home in Amanda, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, with Pastor Scott McCormick officiating and burial will follow at the Amanda Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be sent to the Lancaster-Fairfield County Charity Newsies.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
