Bobby Jim “Bob” McCloud, 87, of Bryant, AL, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Bob was born on April 29, 1938, to the late Millard and Delia Belle Lea McCloud. He married the love of his life, Lorene Williams McCloud, and together they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage.
Bob had a lifelong passion for music and was a gifted musician. He loved playing and singing with his family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling the country on it. A man who loved the outdoors and working with his hands, Bob was known for being a skilled mechanic who could fix just about anything.
Above all, Bob loved his family deeply, and his presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was also a proud member of North Sand Mountain Masonic Lodge #920.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Lorene McCloud; daughter, Katheryn Diane McCloud; siblings, Bertha Belle McCloud Bobo, Janice Louise Holland (James), Edward Carl McCloud, Linda Darnell Shavers, Mathis O'Neal McCloud, and Ronald Curtis McCloud (Sha); grandchildren, Chezarae Carrie Courts (Aaron) and Lorene Bobbie Jo McCloud; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Lain Courts, Kaitlin Alyssa Reyna, Zoey Mary Jane Wade, Chezarae Isabella Courts, Emory Elora Courts, and Scarlett Moon McCloud.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Lewis McCloud; and brothers, Carneal Lyneal McCloud and Jack Wendford McCloud.
A funeral service to honor Bob’s life will be held at 1:00 PM ET on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Cemetery, where Masonic Rites will be performed.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00–6:00 PM ET, and on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the North Sand Mountain Masonic Lodge #920 in his honor.
