Dennis Wayne Watkins

Dennis Watklins, 74, of Chattanooga passed away at his home on Sunday,

February 8, 2026.

Born November 2, 1951 in Bryant, AL, he was a resident of Chattanooga for the past 23 years.

Dennis was a graduate of North Sand Mountain High School and until his retirement was self-employed, most recently in the construction industry.

He was an avid fisherman and gardener and loved to grow all types of beautiful flowers. He was a man that could fix anything and known for transforming many homes in our area.

Dennis loved to cook and enjoyed sharing his gift of cooking with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, G Henry and Flossie Key; mother, Mevelyne Mundy; father, Melvin Watkins; and his brother, Mike Neighbors.

Dennis is survived by his best friend, Cheryl Arner; son, Jeremy Watkins; grandson, Zachery Watkins; great-grandson, Maddox; sister, Debbie Ward; uncle, Wendell (Nancy) Key; aunt, Reba (James) Wooden and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 12th at 4:00 pm EST at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant, AL with Pastor Mike King officiating.
