Carol Michele Watkins

Carol Michele Watkins, 57, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, at her home in Ardmore. Prayer services will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home.

Michele was born on September 18, 1968, in Ardmore, Okla., to Wesley "Cooney" Watkins and Carolyn (Lee) Watkins. She attended Ardmore schools and graduated from Ardmore High School in the Class of 1987. Michele started working for Bill and Barb's at the age of 13 and worked there for 17 years. In 2000, she went to work for 1-800 flowers for two years. Due to her poor health, she retired. Michele found a new way to help others through Uber Eats and taxiing people around.

Michele loved listening to music, singing along with it, and dancing. Michele was a ravenous reader. She loved her dog, Shelby, and any other animal she would meet. She enjoyed taking care of her great-niece, Harper Grace Layton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley "Cooney" Watkins, and Carolyn (Lee) Faulkner. and two brothers: James Henry Pelton and Stephen Blake Pelton, Brother In-law Robert Layton

Michele is survived by her sisters, Pam Layton and Nicole Pelton, and brother, Kevin Faulkner and wife, Angela. Brother; Manuel "Buddy" Watkins and wife Ann, Step-sisters: Chrystl Faulkner and Lynna Kay Baldwin. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
