Derick Kent Postoak

Derick Kent Postoak, age 42, passed away on March 18, 2026, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in the Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with Brother Harold "Po Po" Marris as eulogist and The Reverend Steve Wall officiating. Interment to follow in McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook, Okla.

Derick was born on January 14, 1984, to Kent and Marquetta (Taylor) Postoak in Lawton, Okla. He was a graduate of Ardmore Take Two and then went on to attend Murray State, graduating with an associate's in business. He married WinterStar Spain in Ardmore, Okla. in 2013 and from that union came their two children. He went to work for Chickasaw Casino in the surveillance department and later as a Blackjack Dealer at Winstar World Casino until his health forced him into retirement.

He loved playing video games and watching the kids play sports. He was an avid football and basketball fan, watching anytime it was on.

Derick was preceded in death by his parents; Kent Postoak and Marquetta Gratner. Paternal grandmother, Anna Wallace, paternal grandfathers, Jack Postoak and Nathan "Cookie" Wallace, maternal grandparents, John and Pauline Taylor, brother, Blake Gratner, uncles, Terry "Tae-Tae" Postoak, and Leonard "L.T." Taylor. Granddaughter, Kalliope Haislip

Derick is survived by his four children; Elizabeth Haislip, Sigus Johnson, Dasan Postoak, and Myah Postoak. Two grandchildren; Killian Johnson, and John Haislip, brother, Rodney Postoak Sr., aunts, Terrie Sampson and husband Ronnie, Tammie Stiles, Doreen Martinez, Myrna Boston, and Evelyn Postoak and the mother of his children, WinterStar Postoak. His two nieces; Hailey Postoak and Kendra Postoak, nephew, Rodney Postoak Jr., and his former in-laws, Nancy and Emman "Pu-CV" Spain and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chad Henry, Charles "Chuck" Farve, Carlos Chiffer, Mik Spain, Sigus Johnson, and Trent Haislip.

Visitation will be held on Monday Evening, March 23, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
