Robert E. 'Bob' Pitchford, Sr., age 88 of Lima, passed at 9:02 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Springs of Lima. He was born March 24, 1937 in Lima, Ohio to the late Ira E. and Vivian M. (Kohli) Pitchford. On May 15, 1960 he married Marcella Mae Miller who passed on July 27, 2010.

Bob retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1999 after 42 years of dedicated service. He had a lifelong love for cars-especially Fords.

He found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. He was a true movie enthusiast, collecting films of every kind and never tiring of watching a good story unfold. He enjoyed his daily coffee and sweets, catching up with FOX News, and was a true fan of Elvis Presley. Traveling to Tennessee, shopping, feeding the squirrels and birds, were some of his favorite pastimes, especially when shared with loved ones.

He is survived by 2 sons – Robert E. (Sheila) Pitchford, Jr. of Wapakoneta; Timothy A. (Lynn) Pitchford of Sidney; 2 daughters – Carol J. Fish of Dola; Kimberly K. (Marcus) Gould of Lima; 9 grandchildren – Nicholas; Sara; Kristyn; Reece; Cole; Olivia; Elijah; Ian and Grace; 3 great grandchildren – Tyr, Braum, and Skadi; a sister – Karen Neuman of Lima.

He was preceded in death by a grandson – Joshua Roebuck; a brother – Donald Pitchford; and a sister Deloris Evans.

Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2025 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Jonathon Spyker will officiate. Burial will follow in Spencerville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
