MR. ROBERT LEON "BOB" SOMERVILLE, age 62, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, February 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Arnold Rye officiating.
Mr. Somerville was born in Munising, Michigan, a 1973 graduate of William Mather High School, and had lived in Eastman since 1995. He was a retired manager of a carpet transportation business, a former mechanic, warehouse manager, and employee of Wal-Mart in Eastman. Bob enjoyed reading and liked inventing things, the inventing process, and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was son of the late Zola Mae Atkinson Heffner and Irving Francis Somerville, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Irving Somerville Jr. and Marvin Spivey, three infant siblings, a niece, Carolee Ann Moe, and nephew, Scott Anthony Hebert.
Survivors: Brother – Paul Markahn of Hermitage, TN; 2 Sisters – Marilyn Hebert (John) of Munising, MI and Myrtle Lynn (Charlie) of Appleton, MI; Nieces and Nephews – Jason Somerville, Diana Somerville-Early, Thomas Markahn, Jon Markahn, James Moe, Terri Moe, Jody Hebert, Irving Francis Somerville, III, Tracy Spivey and Perry Spivey; Several Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews and Cousins.
The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM-2:00PM Sunday, February 10.
